This natural crystal salt from the Salt Range in Punjab province, 200 km south of the Himalayas, is about 500 million years old and is one of the highest quality natural salts. It is traditionally mined by hand, hand-selected, washed and sun-dried. Naturally pure: free of any additives, non-iodised, unrefined and without anti-caking agents.
It has a milder taste than conventional table salt, but still tastes intense and distinctive. However, it remains just as versatile and can be used for a wide variety of dishes.
Crystal salt is also used in cosmetics. It is ideal as a bath additive, as a salt scrub or for inhalation.
